Event Spotlight: La Belle Vie Soiree at Mirror Mirror Salon

Oooh-la-la!  Who could resist a French Carnivale inspired fashion week bash?  On Tuesday, August 23rd, Mirror Mirror Salon and Caplan Miller Events (located at Burnet Road and 45th Street) teamed up with Eye Candy Photography (headed by AFW Best Fashion Photographer Nominee, Cory Ryan) to produce this swanky soiree.  Amidst the strands of party lights and classic black and white decor were models wearing the latest from Ciarla Bridal.  Not only were the models’ dresses impressively chic, but their airbrushed masquerade mask make-up and elegant up-dos adorned with floral and ribbon hairpieces (by Megan Pinto Designs) came together to adequately fit the party theme without coming off too costume-y.

Ava Arenella serenaded party guests with her Edith Piaf-esque voice and delicious drinks were provided by Cinco Vodka, Waialua, and Dos XX.  Sara Belle’s Bakery made les petits cupcakes for the event with surprisingly scrumptous flavors like corn cakes with jalapeno frosting (who’da thought?!).  If that’s not enough for you, did I mention that there were “adult” Italian ices, a photo booth + props by Ferrari Photography, and a balloon artist?

Austin Fashion Week is still going strong, but this was easily one of the best events!
